YEAH CHLO! Found then MML in High School but was encouraged to try out with longtime friend, Michaela, last year.

“I love it they’ve become a second family to me.” Chloe’s unwavering dedication landed her the role of ROOKIE COORDINATOR and 2025 Captain!!

After her 5 year old self was told she couldn’t play tackle football (or electric guitar), her 27 year old self stumbled onto an online ad for women’s football team. 7 Orthopedic surgeries and 14 years later, here she (still) is!

The Midwest Mountain Lions exist thanks to Six, out dedicated owner, who refused to let women’s football die. Her passion gives us a home in SE Wisconsin and we’re beyond grateful for the opportunity to play.

Growing up in a neighborhood where football was everything, Lily, the only girl, was kept on the sidelines by her father, who believed that the game was for boys. When she discovered the MML through a friend, she knew it was her chance to step into the game and prove that she always belonged there. “Tyson” believes that HENNYthing is possible.

Peyton, our 17 year old rising star discovered MML through her family who have a rich history in the sport. She decided to give it a go and her potential is undeniable! We are beyond excited to watch her grow and flourish

In 2000, Carear was the first girl in her region to play tackle football on the boys team. At that time it was NOT received well. She wantd to keep playing after but didn’t have an outlet for many years, until she found out about the WFA through an MML ad on social media a few years ago.

“Kell Bell” is a rock solid wrecking ball with speed, strength and tenacity. She’s the perfect test for anyone who’s up for a challenge.

Effective anywhere on the field, Kell’s journey began in 2013 when she was approached in the gym and asked to play. The rest as they say, is HERstory!

2025 Captain!!!!

Sweet and driven, Dani makes the trip from Minnesota every weekend to bring her grit to the gridiron. Hockey’s her first love, but she got the skills to deliver big plays and game winning hugs. Dani’s a natural on the ice AND the field.

“Progresso” used to spend her nights out in a bar room, liquor was the only love she knew. UNTIL she was rescued and recruited by the very best, to become one feisty and ferocious MML!

Ava isn’t new to the game, she is TRUE to it! Making history in high school as the first female QB to not only play, but compete and WIN! Now, she is bringing her talents to the MML as our QB this season. We can’t wait to see her pop out and show ‘em!

Heard about the Midwest Mountain Lions through her sister “Smiley” who also plays for the team!

Michaela, aka “Crocs” is known for her shy yet goofy personality, but when it comes to perfecting her position and mastering the playbook, she’s all business. A true team player, Michaela has brought two players to the MML Family! Her commitment to both her teammates and the game is unmatched!

Julie’s love for football has always burned deep! What began as a simple Google search, turned into her discovering a tight-knit family in the MML. It’s bigger than football - it’s HOME, where every battle strengthens the bond and keeps the fire burining.

“I heard about the MML by researching women football teams in the area before I got to Wisconsin.”

Tiana is in store for a phenomenal season, and we can’t wait to see her shine!!

Her journey began unexpectedly when a former player approached her at a gas station, asking if she’d be interested in playing. Intrigued, she took, the chance and joined the MML quickly embracing the game.

It was at the 2017 Milwaukee Pride Fest that “Simon” was discovered the world of women’s football. Captivated by what it stood to offer, she eagerly jointed the team for the following season, marking the start of an exciting new chapter.

“I was doing a project for school about the inequality between men’s and women’s sports leagues and found a team in my area!”

“I first saw the MML in a parade and later on a flier for open practices. m IO told myself if I could make it through one practice, I’d stay—-well, I am still here!!”

After seeing advertisements for women’s football in the area, AJ finally got over her fears and signed with the team in 2017. The rest is, history.

Football has allowed AJ the opportunity to showcase their discipline and perseverance instilled in them through 30+ years of training in the martial arts.

Katie has always wanted to play football. After years of searching, when the MML popped up online, she seized the opportunity!

‘Wolfie’ first encountered women’s football by pure chance during her college years. One day she casually threw on a football jersey - and before she knew it she got recruited! From that moment on, everything just fell into place, unfolding into pure magic!

MK might quite be literally be the nicest person on the planet. Don’t let her kindness fool you, she’s emerged as one of our most reliable powerhouse on the line. Once she tackles you to the ground, she’ll politely put her hand out to help you up and say “good job”!

Recruited by her studsband who had just joined herself. “Smiley” despite not knowing much about football is proving to be a BEAST! The team colors are also a plus.

“T Dub” was introduced to the MML from her close friend and veteran player, Michaela. The two attended the same school, and now they’re taking their chemistry to the field together! We’re so excited to see what she brings to the team this season!

After reclocating across the country, Jess discovered her true outlet for growth and success with the MML. Beyond just a platform to excel, she found a sense of famliy and belonging within the team.

Jess was also a 2024 All American and is a 2025 Captain!!

“Scrappy” (with her personal mascot THE DORA) found out about the MML at the 2024 Downtown Racine Holiday Parade and the tree lighting ceremony!

Who knew that saying “yes” at Dave & Busters in 2013 would lead to this? Diving in heart first, “AnayL8ter” has given everything to the game. In return, the triumphs, challenges and bonds built along the way have fueled her relentless drive for greatness.

Mussa is the OG on the team at age 45. She continues to play for the WFA Futures and all of OUR daughter’s football dreams, especially Mini Mussa who looks on with support, awaiting her own opportunity.

Jen also coaches Youth Tackle football and is working to encourage more girls to try the sport out at a young age!!
